Day 1

After waking up early around 5 a.m., taking the ferry, and enduring a long bus ride, we made it. We arrived at our first destination, which was Brighton. Despite the heavy rain, an interesting program awaited us, including a tour of the famous aquarium. We saw lots of fascinating fish, reptiles, and amphibians. We even stumbled upon a Czech touch – we found a carp. Let me quote Adam Flek: “hele šímo tady je kapr.”

After visiting the beautiful aquarium, we headed into the center of Brighton. There we had some free time, and nobody wasted it. Some went to spend their money on games, others on food, and some explored the sights, and so on. After two hours, we met up again at the same spot where we had split up.

Then we headed towards the famous pier. Some went to “play the slot machines,” while others admired the beauty of nature in the form of huge waves. I’m writing this at the moment while we’re on our way to meet our host family, so unfortunately I can’t write anything about them yet.

And that was our day on the trip to England in short.

Day 2

This morning we woke up, had breakfast, and our families drove us to the meeting point where a bus was already waiting for us. The bus took us to Portsmouth, where we had a tour of the warship HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Museum. After that, we went to the Emirates Spinnaker Tower, which was an optional visit, and finally, we had a walk around the city. Later, our bus picked us up and took us back to the place where our host families collected us.

Day 3

Today was amazing! I went to see the Harry Potter studios. When I walked in, the first thing I saw was a huge dragon hanging from the ceiling. It looked so real, like it was about to fly over me. I felt really small standing under it.

Then we saw Harry’s cupboard under the stairs. It was so tiny and dark. I can’t believe he had to live there in the movies. It made me think about how unfair it was for him, but also cool to see it in real life. After that, we went into the Great Hall. It looked just like in the films, with the long tables, candles floating in the air, and the big stone walls. It felt like I was really at Hogwarts. I wished I could sit down and have a feast there! Then we went to different rooms with artifacts like a piece of the classroom, the legendary mug, and so on. Then we went to the forest with big trees, ghosts and pegasus and we could choose if we wanted night or day. After we came out of the forest we got to the souvenir shop and the famous ButterBeer. Right after that we got to the part with the train station and the real train from harry potter which is supposed to take you to hogwarts. Then we entered the overpriced dining room and it led to an outdoor exhibit where there was Harry's house and his stepfamily, then a garden and a bus. Then there were models of troll, goblin and orc heads. There was also a stunning hall with chandeliers and then a large dragon animation.
A detailed scale model of Hogwarts was also presented. I really felt like I was right there.

And then there was a giant Harry Potter store with all sorts of things. There were sweets and wands like from the movie and of course ButterBeer. This day was so fun, and I felt like I was part of the Harry Potter world. 

Day 4

Today we spent our day in London!
We had a lot of emotions today - we were curious and had o lot of fun we were basically laughing a lot the whole time! Altho some have cried for many different reasons.
We have said goodbye to our "families" and went on our trip by a bus and the underground railway system after.

As we continued our trip we have seen the highest building in London - shard, we have seen the O2 arena, tower bridge, engine rooms, big ben and many more! We have stumbled upon a lot of statues, for example a Harry Potter one - representing Harry on his Broom.

We finished the day by taking a uber boat back to our bus - going home to czechia!
